Morgan Lerette is serving in Iraq. He is the grandson of VVCC members Marji & Hoover Ware.
Jeremy and Jennifer Lerette are both Staff Sergeants and they are stationed at Ft Huachuca AZ. VVCC members Marji & Hoover Ware are the grandparents of Jeremy.
Pvt. Erin K. McGrew, graduated from Blue Ridge High School in Pinetop, AZ in 2002 and enlisted in the US Army. She was stationed at Ft. Story, Virginia until she was deployed to Iraq for tour of duty in Jan. 2005. She is now stationed at Ft. Carson Colorado. Erin is the daughter of Maj. Shane McGrew and granddaughter of VVCC member, Sonja Power
Jeffery Wayne McGrew graduated from Rio Rancho High School, Rio Rancho, New Mexico in May 2005..(the largest graduating class in New Mexico history..over 700 students). Jeff joined the Marine ROTC and became one of the top contenders in the competitive meets around the state. Jeff is now at Camp Pendleton, California for boot camp training. Jeff is the son of Maj. Shane McGrew and grandson of VVCC member Sonja Power.
Maj. Shane K. McGrew recently retired from active duty in US Army. He was Cap. of the Show Low Transportation Unit in Desert Storm, remained in National Guard until he voluntarily went active in the Iraq conflict. He was sent to Tampa for orientation before going to Central Command in Qatar and Kuwait. Maj. Shane McGrew is the son of VVCC member Sonja Power.
